Read the portfolio's direction
Plan against actual for the whole book: a health matrix, a quadrant, and the things that do not reconcile.
Analytics is about direction rather than about today. The overview says what needs a person this week; this page says whether the book is drifting, and in which direction.
Three things sit on it. The health matrix is one row per project and four judgements per row, each with the sentence behind the judgement and, for pace and spend, the curve it was read from. The quadrant plots every project as a dot. The exception flags at the bottom are the things that do not reconcile, which is the list worth reading first.
Choosing which projects are counted
A benchmark drawn from live deals is a benchmark of work in progress. One drawn from finished deals is the only one whose figures are final. One drawn from everything is the whole book. All three are real questions, so the page asks which one you are asking and remembers your answer.
That answer is stored against you, not against the workspace. Widening your own benchmark does not move anybody else's page, and it changes this page only. The overview, the schedule and the digest stay fixed to what is happening now, because what is due this week has one correct answer.

How to
- Analytics with no project selected is about direction. What needs somebody today is on the Overview instead.
- Say which book these numbers are drawn from. The choice is yours alone and does not move for anybody else.
- Exception flags are the things that do not reconcile. The list stays short on purpose; each one opens its project.

Known limits
The quadrant needs at least six projects before it renders. Below that the health matrix above it already names every project directly, and a scatter of five dots is a worse version of the table it sits under.
