Read the permit register

Every submittal, its review rounds and its open comments, read-only, at a URL of its own.

The permit register answers whose court a submittal is in. Each submittal shows its review rounds, how long the current round has been open, and the comments that are still unanswered.

This page is read-only on purpose. Submittals are filed and closed out on the project schedule, where the register sits beside the anchors and tasks that drive it.

Why it also lives here

A person who only needs to see where an approval stands should not have to load a project's anchors, task tracker and critical dates to find out. This is the same register at an address you can send to somebody.

Who can

  • Schedule & dates at view or better: anyone who can see the schedule.

Levels are set per person in Settings and people. What each level means.

How to

You open this when somebody asks where an approval stands and whose court it is in.

  1. Switch project carries this deal. The permit register is a project page: All projects has no version of it.
  2. Every submittal on this project, whose court it is in, and which comments keep coming back.
  3. Read here; work it from the Schedule tab, where the register sits beside the dates it drives.
  4. A permit issued is a task on that schedule. Work that cannot start without it is dated from the day it lands.
  5. So a round that slips carries those dates with it. The Schedule tab is where you file a round and log its return.

Known limits

Nothing on this page can be edited, including a comment's state and a round's elapsed days. Both are derived from what has been filed on the schedule tab.

Comments are not typed in one at a time anywhere in the product. What a round records is how many the review letter raised, entered beside its return date on the schedule tab; that count is what the converging/diverging reading is built from. The comment table lists whatever comments are on file, with the desk that raised each one and the response on record, and a register with none of them still reports its rounds, its elapsed days and its trend.
